Growing

They're growing like weeds. These hummingbird babies are now big enough that they can't hide their heads in the nest. Those long beaks just won't fit!

Speaking of beaks, take a look at this screen capture from the webcam today. I've discovered that the mother feeds them quite a bit at dusk, so check in between 5:00 and 7:00 Pacific time.

Holy Toledo!!!! The new pictures are amazing. Is there any way you can make the screen captures bigger? I thirst for detail!
You are the *coolest*, Amy. I would say that even if I weren't related to you!!!

I can do bigger screen captures when I'm at home because the image is bigger on the computer that runs the webcam software. Unfortunately, I can't put a bigger picture on the web because, even with broadband, I don't have the bandwidth to send a larger picture. Bummer.
I'll try to get some good screen shots when I can, and you know I'll be out there getting as many close-ups as I can without disturbing the happy family!
I tried to leave a comment earlier, not sure what happened.
It is amazing to see how much these guys grow in such short order. I can't wait to see them poke their little heads up with open eyes!
